Professor Guggenmos previously worked as a financial statement auditor with Deloitte prior to pursuing an academic career. His research focuses on how technological innovation affects judgment and decision-making in financial contexts. In the classroom, Professor Guggenmos is an award-winning educator. He teaches managerial accounting and reporting at the MBA-level.

Professor Rennekamp worked as a Financial Analyst for the U.S. Government before deciding to apply her knowledge to help improve investors’ decision-making. She teaches in MBA and Executive MBA programs across North and South America, and her research primarily focuses on how features related to the delivery of information affect the persuasiveness of financial disclosures.
FJRG Research Fellow & Associate Professor, University of Iowa
Professor Asay studies the psychological and economic forces that influence managers’ disclosure choices and investors’ reactions to firm disclosures. More specifically, his research centers on the content and format of firm disclosures. Professor Asay teaches Introduction to Financial Accounting in the undergraduate program and a seminar in financial accounting research in the PhD program.

Professor Cade’s research investigates how features of financial accounting and disclosure settings influence investors. Her interest in how individuals make judgments and decisions in a financial reporting context grew out of her work experience in the financial services industry in New York–first a user of and then a preparer of financial reports. Professor Cade teaches Introduction to Financial Accounting.

Professor Clor-Proell’s research examines investors’ responses to financial accounting and reporting choices with a focus on how behavioral biases influence managers, auditors, and investors across different decision-making settings. Professor Clor-Proell teaches financial accounting at the introductory and advanced levels and is a coauthor of a leading financial accounting textbook.
FJRG Research Fellow & Associate Professor, University of Washington
Prior to pursuing her PhD, Professor Grant worked as an auditor with Deloitte and Touche. Her research looks at the use of technology, such as mobile devices and social media, in financial reporting settings, with an emphasis on their effect on investor judgment and decision making. Professor Grant teaches financial accounting at the introductory and intermediate levels at the UW Foster School of Business.
FJRG Research Fellow & Associate Professor, University of Texas at Austin
Professor White’s research focuses on the judgments and decisions of managers and investors, with a particular emphasis on issues related to the effects of accounting standards. His work involves cutting-edge technologies, including fMRI imaging and algorithmic summarization of firms’ financial performance. Before pursuing an academic career, he served as a finance director for a privately-held retailer based in Liverpool, England.

Professor Zhang’s research focuses on how accounting information facilitates management control within organizations. Her work examines the effect of performance-based pay and feedback information on employee cooperation, productivity and misreporting. She teaches financial modeling at the MBA-level.
